Asslaamu Alaykum Dear Brothers and Sisters
The number one goal in Islam is to protect life, especially the vulnerable such as the elderly, those with compromised immune systems, the uninsured, and the homeless (our basic Islamic Fiqh that preserving life is paramount). Accordingly, after closely reviewing the Quran and Sunnah, and reviewing all the most current updates from the local and national medical, governmental institutions, and following the announcement of Jummu'ah cancellations by many masajids in our neighboring states of PA, MD, DC and VA, we have decided to cancel praying Jummu'ah in congregation tomorrow (Fri., March 13, 2020).
Please DO NOT come to ISD Masjid Ibrahim for Jummu'ah on Friday March 13th.
May Allah Subhannahu Wa Ta’aala give us good imaan and the strength to overcome these trying times.
